The Petosa family business was established in 1922 with its founder Carlo Petosa in Seattle, Washington. The Petosa Family immigrated to the US from Vinchiaturo, Italy in the early 1900’s. Many family members remained in the NY area, others migrated to Toronto and other cities throughout the Northeast. Carlo ventured with his brother and sister settling in Seattle, WA. Carlo founded Petosa Accordions Mfg. Co. est. 1922.
For over four decades the Petosa Family has owned and operated dozens of family style restaurants and several grocery stores throughout the Pacific Northwest. Fr. Joseph L. Petosa celebrated 65 years with the Catholic Church serving food for the soul.
In 2007 Petosa Italian Imports began the distribution of high quality imported “Petosa di Italia” Olive Oil & Pasta from the Marche region of Italy.
Mama Rose’s Gourmet Foods began in 1994 in Phoenix by creating a very unique line of Southwest gourmet cuisine, including the brand “Made in Arizona”.
In 2009 Petosa Italian Import Co. & Mama Rose’s gourmet fine foods joined teams to become Petosa Family Foods, Inc. All our products are made with the highest quality and all natural ingredients, without use of preservatives. We make our products in small batches to maintain consistent quality. Every batch doesn’t leave our facility until it is taste-tested by Mama Rose herself.
